What Books Would You Suggest For A Liberal Reader For A Government Class?

Posted on | August 18, 2009 |

I have to read a book and do a project over the summer based on a political science book for a government class, and I was just curious as to any ideas for a pretty liberal person. I am willing to read something that I will more or less agree with, but I am also willing to read something that will make me furious. So any suggestions would be fantastic. Thanks! I have a list of about 100 books, but I can get another approved if it fits the mold.

Read Sanford D. Horwitt’s “Let Them Call Me Rebel: Saul Alinsky, His Life and Legacy.” You can also read Alinsky’s now classic “Rules for Radicals.” Alinsky is generally considered the father of community activism. Hillary Clinton did her senior honors thesis on Alinsky. He had a fascinating life, to say the least.
