What Books Would You Recommend For Summer Reading?

Posted on | October 23, 2009 |

I posted this about two days ago but I like getting answers from different people. Its summer and I like taking this time to read some books since I can’t during my college school year! I typically like to read mystery, paranormal or romance books.

Perhaps try some of Dean Koontz’s books. From what you said you enjoyed in a book, you might like Koontz’s style. Koontz writes excellent suspense (thrillers), and a lot of his books have paranormal aspects to them. His books also often include very well-written romance that is not too overbearing but that is believable. I really enjoyed his book called Watchers. I also read his Twilight Eyes, which was not as exciting as Watchers, but it was still an excellent book. I am currently reading Koontz’s book called Strangers, and it so far has excellent suspense and mystery building up. He has many other books, such as Phantoms, Lightning, The Good Guy, and countless others…
    Best wishes!

The book Desperation by Stephen King. Its a very good book about these people who have to pass threw the town of Desperation Nevada. When they do they are immediately pulled over by the state police. The police officer finds weed in there car. (The cop put it there himself.)
So the cop arrest them and while he is telling them there rights he even says. You are under arrest everything you say will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney if you do not have one. Im going to kill you. one will be provided to you. He then shoots the man and brings the woman to jail. in the jail she is with other people who were wrongly accused. But when they find out that there is a monster named Tak in the town of Desperation they pull together and try to kill the monster.

Woman of Honor is a medieval fantasy romance by Nicole Zoltack. It’s the story of Aislinn, a girl who wants to become a knight to take her fallen brother’s place. As she grows up and trains, she ends up falling in love. Aislinn is willing to give up everything for the Kingdom of Arnhem: her childhood, her life, even her heart.

I would recommend the book Sarah’s Key
It flips between two stories until they meet. It is about a girl whom gets pulled to a camp with her family at the time of the holocaust. She tells her little brother to hide in the cupboard in their tiny apartment, thinking she would be back soon. She has the key with her, and it goes on from there.
SAD book, but it will be with you forever! I LOVED it. I am 13 i read it, and my mom read it, and many older women read it. I might have been young, but teen and up will love it!!!!

I wouldn’t recommend to read My Sister’s Keeper. The ending made me cry… Maybe you should read Eragon. Best book ever! You could also read the 39 clues books to try and win some money.
