What Books Would Be Reccomended After Reading The Twilight Series?

Posted on | October 9, 2009 |

I just read the twilight series except the one that isn’t out yet and I loved them. Does anyone have any other recommendations for other books that are similar to these? Or any good books?

    The Host
    by Stephenie Meyer
It’s by the same woman who wrote Twilight, and is supposedly a very good read (I’m only at the begining at the moment).
Oh, and I agree- the Uglies series is VERY good. :D

I finished the Twilight series feeling the same way, and branched out looking for new titles. Since, I have read and thoroughly enjoyed The Tomorrow Series by John Marsden and the Uglies series by Scott Westerfeld.
The Tomorrow Series is about a group of teenagers trying to survive an invasion of Australia, and is made up of seven books (plus a spin-off series about the main character after the war; The Ellie Chronicles, which I enjoyed less and stopped reading after the first book).
The Uglies series is set in the future, where when you turn sixteen you are given an operation that makes you ‘Pretty’.
The main character is Tally Youngblood, who desperately wants to turn sixteen and become pretty.
Four books (Uglies, Pretties, Specials, Extras).

    Eragon, Eldest, : Christopher Paolini
The Naming, The Riddle, The Crow : Alisson Croggon
Alanna the first adventure : Tamora Peirce
Harry Potter series: J. K Rowling
The House of the Scorpion: Nancy Farmer
All really great books, not like Twilight but good, you should try them out. I especially like Eragon, one of the best books ever, so much detail, and a great story.

Companion of the night… it about a girl and vampire… i read it a while ago but i think she sort of falls for him… but not to the extent that bella and edward fall for each other…not even close…but still a good and easy read…
PS i also just read the series it took me a week to finish the series (minus Breaking Dawn/MIdnight Sun, if it ever gets published) and read twilight 2 MORE times… I am obsessed with the series and can”’t wait for the movie/ fourth book. I also recomend going to the author’s website if you haven’t. there are some really good extra “insights” like edwards point of view, midnight Sun’s first chapter, as well as his and Rosalie’s conversation in New Moon.. Really interesting…. Well hope I helped….

I love Meg Cabot and Sophie Kinsella’s books. I am in the process of reading Emily Giffin’s books. They are all great authors!
For I teen I recommend Meg Cabot’s young adult books. She is the best author. She has adult books too, so you can grow with her.

The vampire diaries.. they are really similar in quite a few ways but they were written before. They weren’t as good as Twilight but hey if you are still in a vampire kick they are a good way to quench the thirst.
