What Are Some Good Books For A Book Report?

Posted on | November 26, 2009 |

One of my teachers is gonna make us do book reports based on books of our choice. I was wondering what would be good for a teenage child. It has to be over a 100 pages. No twilight please. Something that is appropriate?

Go old school…solve the rubiks 4X4!

    Dracula by Bram Stoker
    Frankenstein by Mary Shelley
Click by eight authors including Nick Hornby, Linda Sue Park, Ruth Ozeki, and Gregory Maguire
The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight in Heaven by Sherman Alexei
Recommend going to your local library and browsing the fiction and/or teen sections for ideas. If you like sci fi, browse those stacks.
    Good luck!

The House of the Scorpion by Nancy Farmer
Sounds a little strange, but it’s and excellent novel and a winner of three awards so you know it must have some depth to it.
If you do it on this one, think of it in sociopolitical, ethical, and scientific terms

Right now I am reading a book called Sleeping Freshman never Lie. It has 274 pages. It is really good. My friends who have read it said they liked it and so do I. You should try it. I highly recommend it.

Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen is a good historical fiction book. Takes place during the Great Depression. It’s probably my favorite modern day novel.
