Reflections on Things That Are Important To Me

MLB Game Preview: Atlanta Braves vs San Diego Padres on Wednesday, June 1st

Posted on | June 1, 2011 |

The Braves take on the Padres today and this is a game that I will be watching.  While I often spend a good portion of my work day on MLB.com, now I watch baseball games online at work when I have some spare time.

Today, I’ll be tuning into the Braves versus the Padres.

Based on their records, the Braves should take home this contest. They find themselves with a record of 30 - 26. They have scored a total of 216 runs this year while their opponents have scored 185 on them. Yes, the Atlanta Braves should win but the Padres might have something to say about that.

For the Atlanta Braves, the two players that are really bringing it right now are Martin Prado and Alex Gonzalez. Together, they lead the Braves in hits. The San Diego Padres will need to contain these two to increase their chances at Turner Field today.

I am both a Braves fan and Padres fan so I cannot decide who to pick in this won.  The Braves are fairing slightly better this year but like the movie says, “Any given day…”.
